Trip to Paris
Fifth year Leaving cert students fund-raised for a trip to Paris to support their education in the history of Art.
They got to experience the Louvre gallery where they could study paintings they had learned about in class.
They experienced the Romanesque and Gothic architecture of Notre Dame cathedral.
They had a walking tour of Paris where they learned about Paris and the beautiful buildings surrounding them
such as the Arc de Triumph, Cleopatras needle, the Tuileries gardens, the Champs Elysees and much more.
They took a cruise down the River Seine and viewed the Eiffel tower.
They got to experience the heights of the Montparnasse tower that has the fastest elevator in the world,
taking you up to a height of 640ft in just 36 seconds, where you can see the most beautiful view of Paris.
The students got to have some fun as well, visiting Disney land Paris.
A great time was had by all and the students have now some great memories as well as a better understanding of their history of Art
for their Leaving Cert exam next year.
