Leaving Cert Results 2026 Information for Students
We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Leaving Certificate Class of 2026 the very best of luck with your results which are available on Friday 21st of August at 10:00am via the portal.
We are so proud of all that you have achieved and how much you have grown over the past six years with us. These results do not in any way define you and are just part of your journey. There are many paths that can help you get to where you want to go and we hope we can support you with that if that is what you need.
As you know results day is next Friday the 21st of August with CAO results out the following Wednesday the 26th at around 2pm. Ms. Hynes will be in school both days to support you so please get in touch with her if you have any questions.
In relation to Leaving Cert results. Details are below in relation to how to access them.
You are welcome to drop into the school between 11:30 and 12:00 on Friday 21st if you would like to meet with some of your teachers or get support around accessing results.
10am Friday 21st of August
Leaving certificate Established and Applied results are available from Friday 21st of August at 10am through the Candidate Self Portal. A statement of results can be printed from the portal. We can also do this for you in school if you wish.
Please download a copy of your results and keep somewhere secure so you have them for future opportunities. We would advise you to email a copy to your own personal email so you can access them easily.
To access your results you will need your exam number, pps number and candidate self portal password.
If you need your exam number please contact the school. Please note this the number you used for your exams not your CAO number.
If you have forgotten your password, please reset it now so that you can access your results easily on Friday morning.

Please note CAO round 1 offers will be released on Wednesday the 26th of August at 14:00. A Guidance Counsellor will be available to support you with any queries you may have on the day in relation to this.
Access to Grades
12 noon Tuesday 25th of August
You can access your grades on the portal.
Application to View Scripts
5pm Tuesday 25th August to 8pm Wednesday 26th of August- Students can apply to view Leaving Cert scripts and will have access to component marks.
Leaving Certificate Established - applications must be made by candidates through the Candidate Self Service Portal
Leaving Certificate Applied - can apply to view scripts via email
Viewing Scripts
You can view manually marked scripts on Saturday 29th of August and online marked scripts from 9am on Saturday 29th of August to 9am Sunday 30th of August.
Appeal Grade
If you wish to appeal your grade you can do so by applying from10am Sunday 30th of August to 5pm Monday 31st of August.
Appeal Results
Will be available via the portal on September 25th at 11am.
Supports for Candidates
The Leaving Certificate candidate helpline, at 1800 265 165, which is provided by the National Parents Council Post-Primary will be available on 21st of August 2026 for students to reach a guidance counsellor with any queries that they may have.
The SEC Candidate helpline will be available at 1800 111 135or 1800 111 136 to support candidates and queries may be emailed to candidateportal@examinations.ie.
