JCSP Maths Games Initatives (19)

One of our JCSP Initatives this year was to purchase some Maths games to help support numeracy in school as well as bringing a fun element to Maths class.

We tried out the first of the games this week during Maths Week where students were invited down to the library to complete Maths for Fun.  Students worked in teams to develop the JCT key skill of working together, being numerate as well as managing information and thinking. They had six minutes at each station and then moved on to the next station.

There was a Bingo station, a Magformers station, a Keva Contraptions station, a Flashmasters station, a Probability station, a Towers of Hanoi station and a Tanagrams station. All students really enjoyed the class and is something we will definitely be doing again!
