Creative Writing Group
Author Rod Smith organised a book quiz for our Creative Writing group during lunchtime on Friday. The teams became very competitive and some achieved very high scores. Rod kindly provided prizes for winning teams, runner up prizes and something for our exam students. We are delighted that Rod is returning to work with our students again in September and we hope to organise a trip to Dublin Writers Museum during the first term.
Inspirefest
Past and future Teen-Turn participants attended Inspirefest 2019, in The Grand Canal Theatre with Jenny on Thursday. Inspirefest is an annual conference & festival with talks from the brightest minds in technology, science, design and the arts. Many thanks to our very generous ticket sponsor, Dropbox and to Teen Turn for organising this opportunity.
Teen-Turn
This year we have had a lot of interest in the two weeks work experience through Teen-Turn and 18 Larkin girls have applied to participate. Students will be informed if they have been successful during June. All successful applicants will receive a letter inviting them to an induction day in The Digital Hub on July 22nd and work experience will commence on July 29th.
