Library Space and Staff

We are delighted to have full use of the library this year. Michelle is on leave for a few months so Neasa has taken her place for a while and bringing lots of new ideas from her libraries she has worked in.Library classes are up and running  for all 1st - 4th years with their English teachers. By now, everyone should have their login details for Sora, the JCSP Digital Library

JCSP Graduation

Despite the restrictions, the JCSP Graduation went really well. Students were shown a little video of their past few years in Larkin, were presented with their awards folders and then we did photos and ice-cream outside. It was very different from previous JCSP Graduation ceremonies but it worked well it was lovely to be able to celebrate students' achievements over the past three years.

European Languages Day

We got a list of all nationalities in the school from. A World Map noticeboard was displayed in the library. Students put pins on their countries of origin (the TYs checked the list and added the rest of the countries our students come from). We discovered that we have students from over 38 countries. Flag templates were printed for students to colour and decorate. Students also decorated the library tree with welcome messages in their languages and we did language quizzes during library classes.

Maths Week

We have had most of the junior classes visit the library during Maths Week for quizzes and games during Maths Week. Well done everyone for your enthusiasm and participation. Lots of prizes were given out and some students have won the opportunity to attend the Magic Show in the library in early November.
