Library News Week Beginning 21st of January 2019 (20)

Author Visit 

Author and Illustrator, Alan Nolan visited Larkin Library on Thursday. Alan gave students an overview of his career and his books to date. 

He told us about Rockstar Granny, his upcoming World Book Day book, which our 1st Years will be reading in March. 

Alan gave students some drawing tips and he showed examples of his illustrations and explaining how they are done, beginning with pencil sketches right through to the final drawing.  Students had great fun trying to re-create some of Alan’s characters such as Ollie the Dog.

Reading Challenge Week 1

Most classes were off to a good start this week with the Reading Challenge. The class in the lead at the moment is Class 102
