Library News Week Beginning 22nd of January (6)

Postcards written & ready to be posted to families of students who are working hard in The Reading Challenge. All Larkin 1st and 2nd years are "challenged" to read a book a week for six week period. Postcards are being sent home to some students who have been working very hard this past week. We will be celebrating successes throughout the six weeks & this will finish with a big celebration on World Book Day March 1st

Reading Challenge Progress 

As you can see from the Week 1 results Mr Toomey’s class is in the lead with reviews written and Ms Creighton’s class has read the most words. The top reviewer in 2nd year this week was Diane Hrisovescu

Could all students please ensure that they have their Reading Challenge folders in every day and filled in for Wednesday- the JCSP team will gather the results for Week 2 during tutor time & put up the stars in the atrium.

Anime Club

Anime Club meeting with Bernadette Larkin, part of UNESCO City of Literature initiative who facilitated group. Bernadette will post the main pints from our meeting today on Edmodo for students to add to and will source some Manga books from Dublin City Libraries for our next meeting
