Relationships Keepers

The Relationship Keepers programme, supported by the NEIC, is all about helping people in the North East Inner City build stronger, healthier relationships at home, in schools and across the community. It gives local residents, parents, teachers and youth workers practical tools to communicate better, handle conflict constructively and create a more positive environment for everyone.

Through training, mentoring and community activities, the programme encourages respect, listening and empathy. It’s designed to empower people to not only repair damaged relationships but also to prevent breakdowns in the first place, ultimately making the neighbourhood a safer, more connected and supportive place to live.

Irish Life Mentoring Programme

The Irish Life Mentoring Programme has been running in the school since September 2016. Twenty volunteer mentors from Irish Life meet with a group of nineteen fifth and sixth year students once a month. The purpose of the programme is to help students explore different career options and third level courses.  The students who are involved are extremely enthusiastic about the programme and find it really helpful.
