A Community Christmas Event

On Friday, we hosted a truly memorable event at Larkin Community College. A total of 55 students and 10 staff members, in collaboration with Localise and the Co-op, came together to organise a heartwarming day for 12 senior members of our community from Leo Street Day Care Centre.

Over 40 attendees participated in this special gathering, which featured a delicious meal. The shepherd’s pie and apple crumble were a huge hit, as was the indulgent red velvet cake.

A special thank you to our 1st year CSPE students for their thoughtful efforts in creating beautiful handmade Christmas cards for our guests. We are also immensely grateful to our music students, who delivered outstanding performances that added a festive spirit to the day.

This event was a truly special experience, leaving us with memories we will cherish for years to come. Thank you to Ms. O’Higgins for coordination of the event and to Jean for hosting the event in the library. Finally, a huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Ms. Macari and Localise for their dedication working with our students in ensuring our students can see the reward in giving back to our local community.
