A Fun Filled Seachtain na Gaeilge at Larkin
Students at Larkin had an exciting and activity packed Seachtain na Gaeilge, celebrating Irish language and culture through dance, games and competitions.
Our staff profiles were placed around the school for all to see and read as Gaeilge. 2nd and 3rd year students gathered in the sports hall to practice their Ceili dancing, with Nikita and Jamilia earning the title of best dancers. Well done to everyone who took part!
Lunchtime brought more Irish themed fun with a lively game of bingo as Gaeilge in Room 121, where Jared emerged as the winner.
Senior students participated in a thrilling tóraíocht taisce (treasure hunt) for sixth years, while first years enjoyed another round of bingo. Congratulations to Elijah and Raven (6th year), as well as Brax and Helina (1st year), for their victories.
Junior students also took part in their own tóraíocht taisce. It was a fantastic event, with plenty of fun for everyone involved. Congratulations to Helina and Ieva (1st year), Cara and Reyne (2nd year), and Ariane and Lohane (3rd year) for winning in their respective categories!
Maith sibh gach duine—well done to all! A special thanks to the Irish Department for organising such a fantastic celebration of our language and culture.
