Empowering Voices: Junior Girls NFL Team Visits the Mansion House

The Girls Junior NFL Team at Larkin Community College recently had an unforgettable experience as they were honoured guests at the Mansion House in Dublin. Invited by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blain, the team took part in a vibrant event aimed at empowering young female athletes.

In collaboration with Dublin City Sport & Wellbeing and proudly backed by the #HerMove programme, the morning was filled with energy, inspiration and a strong sense of community.

The highlight of the visit was the Youth Voice Workshop, where our students joined other young female athletes from a variety of sports to share their stories, challenges and aspirations for the future of women in sport. This platform gave our girls a powerful opportunity to express themselves and contribute to shaping a more inclusive and supportive sporting culture.

The insights and ideas shared on the day are sure to have a lasting impact, not just for our school community but for girls in sport across the city. We are incredibly proud of our team and the role they are playing in driving positive change.
