LCA Students Visit Teagasc Food Research Centre Ashtown

On Tuesday, 11th November 2025, our LCA students enjoyed an exciting Agriculture and Horticulture trip to the Teagasc Food Research Centre in Ashtown.

During the visit, students took part in some hands on planting activities and were given a guided tour of the beautiful gardens and research areas on site. The trip gave them valuable insight into the practical and scientific work that takes place at Teagasc, helping to deepen their understanding of horticulture and food research.

A special thank you goes to Sarah and Dan for their warm welcome and generosity throughout the day. Their knowledge and enthusiasm helped students make important connections between what they are studying at school, the work carried out at Teagasc and their experiences at the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin.

It was an enjoyable and educational day for everyone involved!
