Sixth Year Trip to Yeats Museum

Today, the sixth year students enjoyed a trip to the Yeats Museum in Dublin. The visit offered a fascinating insight into the life and work of one of Ireland’s most celebrated poets, W.B. Yeats.

Throughout the day, students explored a range of exhibits showcasing Yeats’s poetry, personal letters and historical artefacts. The guided tour provided deeper context about his role in Irish literature and the cultural revival of the early 20th century. The trip was not only informative but also inspiring, especially for those studying Yeats as part of their Leaving Certificate course. It gave students a chance to connect what they’ve learned in the classroom with real world history and literature.

Overall, the visit was a great success, combining learning with an enjoyable day out in the city. The sixth years returned to school with a greater appreciation for Yeats’s legacy and a deeper understanding of his work.
