Students Support Early Literacy Through Community Book Donation

Earlier this week, TY students took part in the Paired Reading Module by visiting Chapters Bookstore to select books for donation to pre-school children in Hill Street Family Resource Centre. The initiative aimed to promote early literacy and foster a love of reading among young children in the community.

The students carefully selected a range of engaging and age appropriate books, ensuring that the children would have access to enjoyable and meaningful reading materials. Special thanks go to Jean and JCSP Libraries for their generous support in purchasing the books for donation.

The group is looking forward to returning in the coming weeks to work directly with the young children in Hill Street, continuing to build connections and encourage positive reading experiences.
