The Arts Scholarship Programme is aimed students who have a particular talent of an artistic nature – whether that is art, dance, drama or music. The aim is to allow students on the programme to develop their talents during the time in Larkin and at the same time improve their academic performance in other areas of the Junior Cert Programme.
Students who are interested in the Arts Scholarship attend Larkin College in October for auditions followed by interviews. The successful students are chosen from the applicants and offered a place on the programme for the following school year as incoming 1st Years.
The Scholarship entails:
- Opportunities for students to develop their talent(s) under the guidance of outstanding teachers in their chosen areas (Music, Art, Dance etc.)
- Reduced book rental every year.
- Bus tickets each week to travel to and from Larkin College
- The students work on projects in collaboration with the Gaiety Theatre, Abbey Theatre and also Localise.
