Larkin Launches New Recycling Initiative

Today, as a school community we officially launched an exciting new recycling project in partnership with Sunflower Recycling, marking another positive step towards sustainability within our school community.

The initiative is the result of months of behind the scenes work involving Sunflower Recycling, along with our dedicated staff and students, to ensure the project was ready to roll out successfully. Funding support for the project was generously provided by Olivia Brody from the NEIC, helping to bring this important initiative to life.

The launch event was supported by Dublin Lord Mayor Ray McAdam and Green Party Councillor Janet Horner, whose involvement highlighted the wider community’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Special thanks also go to Cara and Reyne for producing a fantastic promotional video, along with the staff and students who participated. This video encourages everyone at Larkin to recycle correctly and make full use of the waste stations located throughout the school building.

Together, we can reduce waste, reuse resources and make recycling a normal part of everyday life at Larkin Community College.
