Students Enjoy a Night at the Opera

This week, a group of 40 students had the wonderful opportunity to attend a performance of the opera Rusalka at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. The evening was a memorable cultural experience that introduced many students to the beauty and drama of live opera for the first time.

Students were particularly impressed by the talent of the singers and the orchestra, whose performance added depth and emotion to every scene. The famous “Song to the Moon” was a highlight of the evening, leaving the audience in awe of its beauty. Through powerful music and emotional performances, the production brought this magical and tragic story to life in a captivating way.

Beyond the performance itself, the trip provided students with an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a professional theatre and to appreciate the arts in a new and engaging way. Many students expressed how enjoyable and inspiring they found the evening, with some even discovering a new interest in opera.

Overall, the visit to see Rusalka was a valuable and enriching experience. We look forward to organising similar cultural outings in the future.
