Students Honoured for Contribution to the Arts
Students from Larkin, alongside participants from SWAN Youth Service, were recently honoured by the Mayor in recognition of their contribution to the arts through their involvement in the Halloween Macnas Parade in Dublin and Galway.
The celebration marked the creativity and commitment shown by the students during one of Ireland’s most iconic cultural events. The evening included dinner, a formal presentation, a guided tour of the Mansion House and an engaging discussion that highlighted the wider social and political impact of the arts.
Congratulations to students Belle, Jodie, Danielle, Michelle and Sofia, whose hard work and talent helped make the Macnas parade such a success. Their achievement is a wonderful example of how creative projects can bring communities together and create meaningful opportunities for young people.
